1973 Constituted the company in the name `Modern Research Laboratories & Obtained Mfg. Non-biological licence-315. Date: 06.02.1973. 1980 Converted into Private Limited Company. 1983 Obtained Biological Licence -131 2000 New nomenclature : Modern Pharmaceuticals Ltd. 2002 Opening of New Non-Penicillin Building. 2003 Obtained GMP certificate issued by The Director General of Drug Administration, Bangladesh.
2004 ISO 9001 : 2008 certified by Moody International, UKAS 2007 Started Export to Cambodia 2009 Started Export to Vietnam. Self interest should not be the sole aim of a pharmaceutical Industry but it should be in its own way to make a liberal and generous contribution towards social welfare to satisfy peoples by supplying safe and effective medicine/drugs at fair prices is the motto of a company.
Modern Pharmaceuticals Limited originates from 1972, when a partnership firm was conceived to manufacture quality ayurvedic medechine/drugs under the leadership of Al-haj Md. Khairul Bashar founder & Managing Director of Modern Pharmaceuticals Ltd. with the active and spontaneous participation of Late Al-haj Anwarul Islam and Subsequently Late Al-haj Sarwar Bashar and Late. Anwarul Quadir.
After its initial years of struggle, the firm was incorporated into a Private Limited Company in the year 1980 & the Balancing, Modernized, Replacement and Expansion of (BMR & E) work completed in the year 1981. Subsequently a 4 storied new modernized production plant (for non-penicillin medicine) equipped with sophisticated and advanced facilities started in the year 2002. Also two storied building which have already been completed.
Then the Company has obtained accreditation certificate from ISO (9001:2008) and has come to a position where it proudly claims itself as one of the leading Pharmaceutical Company of the country.
The factory is managed with highly qualified and technical personnel & strictly follows the CGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice).It ensure that products produced meet specific requirements for identity, strength, quality, and purity.
